Eric Pauls is a filmmaker and storyteller known for exploring existential themes through insightful character studies. His film journey began with the creation of narrative and documentary shorts, paving the way for his feature-length directorial debut, "To the Mountain," for which he also wrote and composed the music. This film premiered at the Oakville Film and Art Festival, earning recognition as a Standout Discovery on iTunes and "Wistful Poignancy" by the National Post.
Following this success, Pauls impressed audiences with his poetic documentary, "Rosebud, Alberta," which premiered at the Edmonton International Film Festival. He continues to venture into diverse genres and mediums, including directing for True-crime series, music videos, and commercials.
Beyond film and television, Eric has also lent his storytelling prowess and documentary filmmaking skills to research and systems thinking within Government, Healthcare, and Social Innovation. His innate knack for discovering captivating stories making him a highly sought-after collaborator.
As of 2024, this versatile set of skills is also being used at Make Me. A creative studio Eric co-founded with his long-time colloborator Michael Janke. Together they are using the lessons they have learned making films, to help companies and organizations make things that inspire action.
